As the sole owner and author of submitted material, I fully attest that the following is true and correct:
A) I have read, understand and agree fully to the official rules of the competition and hereby request that you read, evaluate and judge said material, of which I am the sole author and have exclusive rights and authority to submit the same to you upon the terms and conditions stated herewithin.
B) Furthermore, I indemnify Fade In and its affiliates, sponsors and judges of and from any and all claims, loss or liability that may be asserted against you or incurred by you or any of your associates, at any time in connection with said material.
C) I understand that Fade In will not use the material or any part of, except in connection with the Awards unless you: (1) enter into an agreement with me granting rights to the material, or (2) determine in good faith that I do not own or control the material because features or elements were independently developed by someone other than me; are in the public domain or; are not novel or new.
D) I have retained at least two copies of said material, and I hereby release you of and from any and all liability for loss of, or damage to, the copy of said material submitted to you hereunder.
E) If more than one (1) party signs this agreement as submittor, then reference to “I” or “me” throughout this agreement shall apply to each party, jointly and severally.
F) I understand that there may be creative revisions that may be required prior to marketing my script/short to industry professionals. I agree to adhere to the process as outlined by the Fade In staff.
G) Should I be chosen as a finalist, I agree to sign a general release in order to receive the described prize winnings within and a W-9 tax form.
H) I understand that Fade In reserves the right to grant less than or no awards, at its sole discretion, if a lesser number of, or no entries meet the submissions requirements and/or industry standards of excellence.
I) I further understand that Fade In reserves the right to revoke or disqualify any finalist, including myself if I am chosen, for a) breach of these terms, b) unprofessional behavior, as deemed by Fade In staff.
I understand there are No Refunds.
To qualify: All submissions must include a completed application form, copy of your screenplay/teleplay/short script in PDF Format (including title page with all pertinent information) or a link to your web series or short film.
