Lauren worked all eight seasons on the original Dexter for Showtime, graduating from staff writer to co-executive producer. She then developed, wrote and executive produced a pilot with Ryan Murphy, HBO’s Open (2014), starring Michelle Monaghan. Under a nine-year overall deal with CBS, she developed several pitches and sold nine pilots, including Netflix’s Insatiable (2018-19), starring Debby Ryan, which she show-ran for two seasons. Lauren’s broadcast credits include NBC’s E-Ring, ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and CBS’s Good Sam.
When not writing, Lauren can be found with her 10-year-old drummer son, researching projects, or studying Celtic shamanic journeying and Western esoteric Qabalah.

THE PERFECT TEN | GROUP SESSION
Did you know that your pilot script lives and dies in the first ten pages? Agents, managers, showrunners, and executives are busy people — they’re reading your script while taking calls, supervising kids at home, scrolling, and/or even sitting on the toilet. And if you don’t grab their attention in those first ten pages, you’re toast. So how do you make those pages pop? Workshop them in a small group setting, writers’ room style, with the feedback of your peers and the guidance of a seasoned showrunner! Each participant will get to hear their first ten pages read aloud, and then receive notes and pitches from Lauren and the group. Teamwork makes the dream work! You’ll leave with ten pages that will have buyers and reps wanting more.
