Lauren worked all eight seasons on the original Dexter for Showtime, graduating from staff writer to co-executive producer. She then developed, wrote and executive produced a pilot with Ryan Murphy, HBO’s Open (2014), starring Michelle Monaghan. Under a nine-year overall deal with CBS, she developed several pitches and sold nine pilots, including Netflix’s Insatiable (2018-19), starring Debby Ryan, which she show-ran for two seasons. Lauren’s broadcast credits include NBC’s E-Ring, ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and CBS’s Good Sam.
When not writing, Lauren can be found with her 10-year-old drummer son, researching projects, or studying Celtic shamanic journeying and Western esoteric Qabalah.

Lauren will hear multiple loglines from you and help you choose which projects to focus on and then give you the tools to set them up appropriately. Determining factors include story engine; current marketplace; client’s level of passion, interest and experience; and self-branding and identity. Lauren is also available during this time to answer any questions about process, finding representation, her own experience, etc.
TELEVISION PITCH COACHING | ONE-ON-ONE SESSION
Lauren will hear your pitch and offer feedback on both content and delivery of pitch materials. Sessions can be between 30 and 120 minutes. You choose.
STORY DEVELOPMENT | ONE-ON-ONE SESSION
Lauren will read your outline ahead of time and then provide detailed verbal feedback in a 90-minute Zoom session. This includes brainstorming solutions for story problems and discussion of scene work.
